Digital Photography II
Course Description
This one-semester course is a continuation of Digital Photography I. Its objective is to improve the student’s understanding and appreciation of photography.
Students will be assigned a wide variety of topics on which to take photographs. They will be encouraged to be creative and try new techniques while completing these assignments.
Students will be exposed to different facets of photography, such as: close-up, journalistic, sports, night-time, flash, and panoramic photography.
Much of the class time will be spent analyzing photographs taken by students and well known photographers.
Students will have ample class time to view and edit their own images.
Several local photographers will be invited to discuss their photography and answer questions. If feasible, several photo taking field trips will be arranged.
Prerequisite: Digital Photography I or equivalent
Students must have access to a digital
camera and should be comfortable using image editing software (such as
Photoshop Elements).]
